Reviews
Not being mirrorless means it doesn’t burn up a battery in 5 minutes. The lack of edge-to-edge focus points is a non-argument as the dominant position of focus in any photograph falls well within the available selection. You have close to edge-to-edge when in live view anyway. It is one of the best cameras in its price bracket.
I think this camera has unfairly criticized in some parts of the photo media. Although I sometimes find it difficult to tell the difference between the results from this and my 80D, it at least has given me access to some beautiful full-frame lenses at their nominal focal lengths. Besides, it just shows how good the 80D is.
The fully articulated screen helps to take more creative shots.
Canon EOS 6D MkII bought in a Prime deal for a reasonable price. The pictures it has taken with a Canon EF 24-105 mm f4/L IS II USM Lens.
Similar specs to the Canon 80d, however, it’s worth the extra investment to take you to a full-frame sensor. Canon color science is next to none, and the flip-out screen is excellent for vlogging, and taking photos at multiple angles. The battery inside will easily outlast a full day’s work. It is excellent value for money.
Excellent entry-level full-frame camera. Good for Castro photography with the flippy screen. It picks up HA nebulae quite well.
