It is a great camera. The quality of the images – even at 600mm – is simply breathtaking. They all (mostly) metal construction is very reassuring, and it has masses of features and flexibility.
It gives Fantastic zoom while maintaining excellent photo quality in this camera. It would be five* if it had a built-in viewfinder. (I know you can buy one to use with this camera, but that is excessively expensive.)
Overall, an excellent camera takes pictures every bit as good as my old Pentax K20D with fewer lens artifacts and distortions in a much smaller, lighter package. Why only four stars: it’s too easy to set the autofocus onto the wrong subject/area by accidentally touching the screen while moving it or positioning the camera. By the time you’ve adjusted the settings (challenging to do if you are holding the camera aloft etc.), you miss the shot.
Feels good in the hand and has had excellent results. Mainly motivated to buy it for the superzoom lens, which has opened up all sorts of new possibilities without the hassle of changing lenses—getting too old for that!
This camera is a quality piece of kit. I am a photographer by no means, but I find this very easy to use and produce stunning pictures and videos.
A beautiful camera, easy to hold, fits in my hand perfectly; I need to get used to the buttons.
