Fujifilm XF 18-135 mm

The 18-135mm lens is light and well made and could be a great all-rounder; however, several aspects disappoint.

The aperture ring moves smoothly, as does the zoom; until you get to 100mm, the zoom becomes sticky. However, the main issue is picture quality, which isn’t good enough.

The aperture is a bit of a limitation, but if it were f4, it would be a lot heavier all the way through.

One thing common to all the XF-mount lenses is their eye-watering price, partly I suspect because the likes of Tamron and Sigma don’t make their versions. Yes, you can buy adapters for Canon/Nikon/Leica, etc. However, these tend to lose all the automation between camera and lens as they don’t typically couple, just bayonet into place.
