Reviews of Nikon Z 50 + Nikkor Z DX 16-50 F/4.5-6.3 VR
It is an excellent camera, which is suitable for shooting both photographs and videos. It is light but durable and well designed. The handgrip allows you to hold this comfortably, the eye-cap is rubber, and the strap, and lightweight, enable you to keep this without becoming tired.
The touch screen folds out and will flip/tilt to enable you to take selfies. It has a mic jack, a USB port, autofocus, and stabilization, which works well, allowing you to steady the picture, even while walking. The lens is a DX 16-50, and images are crisp and sharp.
Nikon tells us this little lens – one of the best pancake lenses you can buy right now performs better than an F-mount DSLR kit lens, and it’s all thanks to the Z mount’s superior image rendering. It cited as one of the most critical factors in the Nikon mirrorless camera system. The company also showed us an updated Nikon lens roadmap with no fewer than 11 new lenses added.
The only reason this loses a star is that it does not come with a case, which you should expect for the price. However, for ergonomic design and excellent quality pictures/film, the camera itself would be five stars on its own.
First, it’s lightweight. Not too heavy when you hold it in hand for long periods, which when your shooting can be a real concern after a while. The neck strap is comfortable, and adjusting it is easy enough; it does not cut into your neck if you are wearing it for a while, which is another bonus for me.
The camera is straightforward to use; the menus are easy to access and not confusing if you have a basic knowledge of digital cameras. If you do not, I would highly recommend getting a how-to book to help you get the most out of your camera.
The video recording is outstanding, 4K, and a choice to record MP4/MOV files, so if you are a blogger, this is a brilliant camera. The touch screen flips down so you can see yourself filming while you film so you can make sure your still INS hot.
The autofocus is brilliant and again easy to use, but manual focus back will take a bit of getting used to if you are not used to using it. The camera ease is easy to install, and switching out lenses will be very easy to do.
