These are good mid-range cameras. They have excellent video quality, and the microphone is very sensitive.

If you are upgrading from Arlo or Arlo pro, these are worth it, but from Arlo Pro 2, you are just paying extra for the Spotlight and a slight increase in video quality.

At 2k, the video is evident; there is a wide-angle lens option so you can see more. I can’t fault them for their night vision and color (the Spotlight); it is also evident.

The sensitivity has improved over the older model, which is excellent, sometimes a little too sensitive, but tweak this.

As with all Arlo cameras, they are straightforward to install. You get one magnetic mount and one screw mount; it’s a shame you didn’t get two of each. These will work with any existing screw mount you may have.

These are wireless cameras, but I suggest you get the charge wire to don’t compromise on any settings.

I bought the Pro3 because I wanted to replace an existing wired camera system that records to a local disk but cannot be accessed remotely (at least not very quickly).

Daylight picture quality: Good, the camera is clear and a massive improvement from my old system.

Night picture quality: Good, but you need to beware of camera positioning. The IR LEDs are very bright, so if you mount the camera in a corner – as I have – you need to angle it a reasonable distance from any nearby walls or other items as it’s very susceptible to reflections. In my case, a drainpipe on the far side of the picture lit up so brightly that you could only see about 10 feet from the camera.

Other than that, it seems to be a pretty decent security camera system, although the wireless strength from the base unit is pretty poor, so if you have a larger area to cover, you could struggle.
