Style: 18-135 mm LensVerified Purchase

Purchased the camera as an early Christmas present to myself (so I could use it to capture the occasion). I have to say I am not disappointed. I did loads of research and being a Sony Nex 6 user I wanted to go to the next level. So the shortlist was Sony A6000, Canon 750D and Nikon 5500D. The Sony was nice and small and easy to use but not different enough from the Nex 6 so that was knocked off the list, the Nikon had better reviews and was actually cheaper but when I went to the local store to got a feel of both the Canon and Nikon, the Canon just felt better in my hand and more solid. On paper, the Nikon may have the better spec but the Canon felt right. I chose the Canon at the end and am just loving using it.
The 18-135mm lens is great to use and with young children, it is perfect for capturing those special moments. The only additional item I have purchased separately is a 50mm f1.8 prime lens for portraits.

I am no nerd when it comes to cameras and my Sony was on the Auto mode for most of its life, but the Canon just offers so much more, I am playing with Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, Bracketing, HRD photos, the list goes on and on.

I think the success of a camera isn’t just about what functions it has but what it makes the user feel like and I am now out and about taking photos of everything from landscapes, wildlife, close up macros, the list goes on, this to me is all the evidence I need to show myself how much I am loving the camera.

The only advice I can give to anyone looking to buy a camera goes out and hold it, use it to get a real feel for it.
I also purchased a 64gb card and will need to get a spare battery in the near future as the only negative I have is you can’t charge the camera via USB, unlike my old Sony.
Overall, very happy with the camera and would highly recommend.
