 Camera:

On the rear, the camera bump has three 12MP camera lenses (primary camera, ultra-wide, and telephoto). On the front, there is a single 8MP selfie camera. I prefer the Xperia 5 ii directions of not using a notch or a punch hole. I might be old school, but I do like the clean straight display line with no cut-aways. Some tremendous professional-level software apps accompany the impressive hardware camera specs. The Cinema Pro and Photo Pro have features you’ll find a DSLR camera. With all the rich features like adjustable ISO and shutter speed, let down by the array of hardware side buttons on the Xperia 5 ii. It is more evident when I use a camera tripod mount, and it’ll accidentally trigger the Google Assistant. I wished the Sony Xperia engineer would create a convenient hardware lock switch to disable all the side buttons.

 Performance:

This phone has a snappy Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with a massive 8GB RAM. I play a fair amount of mobile gaming, and I like the H.S. Power Control option. When enabled, the mains power will charge the phone and not the portable battery and keep the overall temperature cooler. I will be using this feature. The 128GB ROM is adequate, but with the option of adding a microSD card, this makes it OK. I will be recording videos at 4K, so I definitely will be looking into this option. As for battery life, inside is a whopping 4,000mAh battery. Hats off to the Sony Xperia team for fitting this battery capacity is such a small form factor. I used it all day yesterday and still had 28% battery life remaining. Result!
