While the setting up seems simple, it was not to be. Five hours later, with five cameras synced, the system was up and running. Almost straight away, it wanted to update the cameras. The result is that one will not charge with the magnetic wire attached to the kit.

But that was not the end by any means; the hub then automatically, after three days, downloaded a new version that seemed released on 2-12-19.

Most functionality then stops; yes, you can view life, but all intelligent notifications stoped. Then it starts again and comes and goes often.

At this point, you start to realize not much else works. Now before you race to get support, think on. Check the community support pages at Arlo; you find blogs growing on this issue and many other problems. There is none; you are on your own. A total reluctance to roll back to a working version and even acknowledge a problem exists!

You have no option but to wait for Arlo to roll out a working version, but when or if ever?

The anger then overcomes you when you think about how much you paid.

Just go and look at the blogs on Arlo’s website. I’m now close to the point of launching the whole lot out the window.
